North Lakes is a residential and industrial area located to the northern suburbs of Brisbane. It is on the side of the Bruce Highway 29km (approximately 40 minutes) from Brisbane CBD and 30km (approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic) from the Brisbane Airport. If needed, buses and trains come and go from both destinations throughout the day.

If you want to travel a little further, the glass house mountains are perfect for hiking and rock climbing and can be a great family way to exercise. You may be more inclined to just duck over to Redcliff and throw in a line with the kids and try your luck.
